Dan Bradshaw Premieres “Delights & Shadows”
In March 2007, Dan Bradshaw, a member of the music faculty at BYU-Hawaii, premiered a new work entitled “Delights & Shadows.” This is an excerpt from that concert which featured Metropolitan opera singer, Ariel Bybee, Alison Dalton on viola, and Stacey McCarrey at the piano. The lyrics are poems written by Pulitzer-prize winning poet, Ted Kooser.

“Shaka Story” Booksigning at BYU-Hawaii
Robert Lononuiakea Ikuwa, a 2003 graduate of BYU-Hawaii and native Hawaiian wrote and published a book entitled “Tutu Hamana: the shaka sign story.” The shaka sign, a two-finger wave born in Hawaii, has come to mean “hang-loose” to many people around the world. The book has been translated from Hawaiian into English and Japanese. This clip was taken at a book signing party that took place on the BYU-Hawaii campus in November 2007.
